New to yoga? Returning after time away? Or ready to finally understand what’s happening in class?

Our Beginner Yoga Series is a thoughtfully designed, three-part experience created to help you feel comfortable, confident, and supported—both in your body and in our studio.

Instead of a single long workshop, this series breaks the foundations of yoga into three approachable, one-hour sessions, giving you time to learn, move, ask questions, and integrate what you’re learning at a steady, supportive pace.

Each session blends clear instruction (lecture) with guided movement, so you don’t just copy poses—you understand why and how they work for your body.

Bonus: Your registration includes 30 days of unlimited classes, allowing you to practice between sessions, explore different styles, and get to know our instructors with confidence.

Sundays: April 12, 19, 26
1:30–2:30pm

What You’ll Learn

Session 1: Welcome + Foundations

  • A warm welcome and guided studio tour so you feel at home

  • Where props are, how to use them, and studio etiquette

  • Introduction to the yoga styles offered at Full Body

  • Basic breathwork (pranayama) and focus techniques (drishti)

  • Gentle beginner-friendly movement to ground and settle the body

Session 2: Alignment + Safety

  • How to move safely and comfortably in common poses

  • How to modify postures for your body

  • Understanding transitions and class structure

  • Introduction to Sanskrit pose names (no memorization required!)

  • A slow, accessible flow to practice what you learn

Session 3: Flow + Confidence

  • How to choose the right class for your body and energy

  • Using intention and simple mantras in practice

  • Putting everything together in a supportive beginner flow

  • Time for questions so you feel ready to step into regular classes

  • Rest and integration to close the series

How is this workshop different from standard beginner classes at other studios, or other classes on our schedule?

Our Beginner Yoga Series is designed to give you a deeper, more supportive introduction to yoga than a standard drop-in class. You’ll receive guided instruction, thoughtful explanation, and individualized support to help you build a strong, confident foundation.

Throughout the series, you’ll gain a clear understanding of yoga and how it supports both the body and mind. You’ll learn how to move safely in and out of foundational poses, with personalized modifications offered to meet your unique needs—so your practice feels accessible, empowering, and sustainable.

How challenging is the workshop?

The level of challenge will feel different for everyone. You can expect each session to offer a modest, manageable challenge—nothing rushed or overwhelming. As a beginner, the focus is on moving slowly, learning to listen to your body, and discovering what feels supportive for you. Some poses may feel gently strengthening, while others offer deep relaxation—and both are equally valuable parts of the practice.

Can I use passes to pay for the workshop?

No. This series is offered outside of our regular class options. Because it includes extended instruction, discussion, and personalized guidance, it’s designed to give you the tools and understanding needed to step confidently into our standard classes.

What if I can’t make it to the session. Is there a make-up session?

We understand that life happens. If you’re unable to attend a session, you have two options:

  • We can apply an account credit for use toward a future purchase, or

  • We can transfer you into a future Beginner Series when it better fits your schedule.

Our goal is to make sure you feel supported and set up for success.
