Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need yoga props like a mat, bolster, blocks, etc.?

No. When practicing restorative yoga, it is important to have support to make you comfortable and enable your body and mind to be at ease. Pillows, blankets, couch cushions, books, and whatever else you have at home are just as well as the fanciest yoga props.

I have back/knee/hip/neck problems. Will this be a problem?

Maybe. There is one rule in restorative yoga - if it hurts, either modify the pose (change your body position) or add more support with props to create comfort in the given pose. With time and practice, you’ll find what works best for you.

I fell asleep. Is that okay?

Ha! You’re doing great! It’s not at all uncommon for a few snores to be heard in a restorative yoga class:-) The goal of this practice is to rest and sometimes that goes all the way into sleep. As you continue in your practice, embrace these moments!

Can I watch these classes on my TV at home?

Yes. If you have a streaming device (Roku, Apple TV) with the Vimeo App, you can add any or all of these videos to your Vimeo Library by clicking the Watch Later icon (clock). [LEARN MORE]
