Escape from the modern stresses of life, cleanse your soul, restore your balance, and go Sound Bathing for the Summer Solstice. Sound Waves is a 75 minute yoga + sound bath event the week of the Summer Solstice combining gentle/restorative yoga, meditation and sound bath. You’ll experience peace and tranquility like being on a beach in the summer while allowing your stress, tension, and depression to wash away like waves in the ocean.
“Sound Bathing is the practice of intentionally creating waves of harmonic sound which envelop and surround your body” Class will include crystal singing bowls periodically throughout class, with an extended savasana and sound immersion. In addition to singing bowls you’ll release tension with a gentle temple massage, and calm your nervous system through your breath, easy movement, meditation, and rest.

What/When is the Summer Solstice?
According to Old Farmer’s Alamanac
The June solstice occurs on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at 10:58 A.M. EDT. The event will be on Sunday night, June 25th.
This solstice marks the official beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, occurring when Earth arrives at the point in its orbit where the North Pole is at its maximum tilt (about 23.5 degrees) toward the Sun, resulting in the longest day and shortest night of the calendar year. (By longest “day,” we mean the longest period of sunlight hours.) On the day of the June solstice, the Northern Hemisphere receives sunlight at the most direct angle of the year
