Yoga is AWESOME! Seriously, you’ll love yoga and all the amazing things it can do for you.

First, know that no matter where you are physically, yoga is for everyone - all abilities, all backgrounds, everyone.

Second, yoga has both active (yang) and passive (yin) elements that should be taken together to enjoy its full range of benefits. At the studio, we practice both forms so our clients can enjoy a well-rounded practice.

The Beginner Yoga Series is the best place to start because you’ll experience the full range of yoga offered at the studio. In each session, you’ll learn something new about yoga, work through foundational yoga poses & alignment, stretch your muscles and connective tissue, and finish with a truly relaxing restorative pose.

Beginnings = Possibilities, and there’s no question, yoga is good for you. Practicing yoga is effective in cultivating overall health and well-being, but where and how to begin is the question you may be asking yourself. Full Body’s comprehensive series will prepare you to establish a yoga practice suited to you, giving you the confidence to step into classes offered at the studio.

Over the course of the 2 classes you’ll learn a yoga sequence that will enable you to progress steadily, safely, and effectively from one place to another in your yoga practice. Classes are informative, fun, and easy to follow!

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this series different from standard beginner classes?

In building the foundation of your yoga practice, the Beginner Yoga Series provides you with a great deal more depth of experience than standard classes. During the series, your instructor will help you gain a broad understanding of yoga and how your body and mind will benefit from it. Along the way, you’ll learn how to safely move in and out of various poses with personalized modifications where needed.

How challenging is the series?

This is unique to each individual, but you can expect to find modest challenge in each session. The key word is ‘modest’. As a new yoga student, it’s important to move slowly into your practice and give yourself time to ‘listen to your body’. Through practice, you’ll find what works and what doesn’t. You’ll also find some poses provide complete and utter relaxation (and that’s a good thing!).

Can I use passes to pay for the series?

No. This series of workshops is outside of our normal class options, as it is more involved than our standard classes. The goal is to provide you with the skills and understandings needed to step confidently into our regular yoga classes.

What if I can’t make it to all the sessions? Is there a make-up session?

Sometimes life gets in the way of our best intentions. While we do not offer refunds or make-up sessions with this series, we want to see you build a strong foundation in your yoga practice. We can add you to the next series, dates TBD or apply an account credit for you to use on a future purchase at Full Body Fitness + Yoga
