The Beginner Yoga Series is a 4-week program empowering you to step confidently into a regular yoga practice - building strength and balance in mind + body.

This 4-week series is designed with the true beginner in mind. Each week we will build upon fundamental movements and postures commonly done in Hatha/Vinyasa style yoga classes. Upon completion of this series participants will be confident entering regular group classes without feeling nervous, frustrated, or lost.

You will learn the basics of the following movements and how they relate to foundational yoga poses:

  • breathing & shoulder stability

  • sitting, standing, and twisting

  • forward folding & back bending

  • hip flexion & extension

  • internal and external rotation in the hip joints

How is this series different from your beginner classes offered each week?

In building the foundation of your yoga practice, the Beginner Yoga Series provides you with a great deal more depth of experience than standard classes. During this 4-week series, your instructor will help you gain a broad understanding of yoga and how your body and mind will benefit from it. Along the way, you’ll learn how to safely move in and out of various poses with personalized modifications where needed. This series is the best place to start your journey into yoga.

Can I use passes to pay for the Intro to Yoga Series?

No. This series of workshops is outside of our normal class options, as it is more involved than our standard classes. The goal is to provide you with the skills and understandings needed to step confidently into our regular yoga classes.

What if I can’t make it to all four sessions? Is there a make-up session?

Sometimes life gets in the way of our best intentions. While we do not offer refunds or make-up sessions with this series, we want to see you build a strong foundation in your yoga practice. Please send us an email, and we’ll work with you to get back on your mat.
